These reviews are in order of when I wrote them. Games with a green background are some of my favorites.
Mewgenics
Edmund McMillen & Tyler Glaiel
2026-02-10
PC (Steam)
I am no stranger to Edmund McMillen's past games, having already sunk ~600 hours into the Binding of Isaac, I'm sure I will be putting similar amounts of time into this game as well. The depths of the interactions from all the abilities, passives, and items, still leave me surprised even after dozens of runs. My only complaint is that I have to be a responsible adult now and no longer have the time to dump into this game like I did with Isaac. Edmund you made a gem of piece with your awesome mewgenics.
Marathon
Bungie
2026-03-05
PC (Steam)
As of writing this, I only have around 50 hours in the game and have yet to touch most of the late game content. Keep that in mind. I have been a long time fan of Bungie's titles from Halo to Destiny. It was only natrual that I have been looking forward to Marathon's release despite its various controversies. Several months have passed since it's launch. I was not able to really sink my teeth into this game as I expected to. I have come to realize that extraction shooters are just not the genre for me. I do adore the art direction of Marathon and it is a shame I cannot make myself play more of the game.
Big Walk
House House
2026-08-10
PC (Steam)
Big walk has plesantly surprised me. When I first heard about it, I had wrongly assumed it was just another friendslop game akin to Mecca Chameleon or Lethal Company. This is nothing like those games, and frankly I feel almost ashamed to have wrote it off as "slop" as quickly as I did. House House did a fantastic job with making the journey feel like the destination within this game. All of the puzzles are unique and often spin off the rules of the puzzle which makes each one interesting.
